It is important to have role models.

Role models help us understand our real worth, aspire to be the best we can be, inspire us to break barriers and glass ceilings, embolden us to break away from the statu quo and educate us in the many ways our talents can be put to work.

It does not need to be a public figure. It can be someone closer to you, someone you know and who knows you, a stranger turned friend or a parent, a teacher or - why not - a former student of ours. They can be with us or gone, within your phone’s reach or a prayer away.
